What is the meaning of the easter egg and what is its link to the Easter season? A symbol of the latent power of life present in the stone like egg? Then we discussed the bunny. My son mentioned a lesson at school that linked the bunny to the season of spring, a promise of new life. I went to the fridge and took a recently purchased police bunny and asked "What does this mean??!!". My 10 year old son pondered and then reminded me of this newspaper article about police speed traps. I had a few moments before been commenting about a speed trap at the bottom of a hill. But maybe my son has a point. Maybe Easter is a time to slow down and reflect. Reject Feaster and bring back Easter .
